The British International School of Houston has moved into their 33-acre campus in west Houston. Simpkins Group was project developer for this 275,000 sf school serving students from pre-K thru 12th grade. Designed for 2,000 students, the state-of-the-art facility includes a performing arts center designed in collaboration with the Juilliard School, three MIT-inspired makerspaces, a design tech center with CAD lab and 3-D printers, a natatorium, two NCAA regulation gymnasiums, and outdoor sports fields and playgrounds. As part of Nord Anglia Education, the school is one of 43 worldwide offering students unique, personalized, global learning opportunities. This project was a Finalist for a 2017 Landmark Award given by the Houston Business Journal.

The British International School of Houston, located at the southwest corner of North Westgreen Boulevard and Franz Road, continues to serve the entire Greater Houston area in their new facility. A tight schedule and budget were successfully maintained to meet the project’s important August deadline which coincided with the start of the new school year.
